Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and LikeUs (“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your access to and use of likeus.in and any related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What LikeUs is

LikeUs is an invitation-only platform that helps verified couples discover other couples for platonic friendships. LikeUs is not a dating service, an escort service, or a marketplace for romantic, sexual, or commercial connections.

2. Eligibility

By using LikeUs, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are creating a profile representing yourself, with the consent of your partner who will create their own profile.
• You have not previously been removed from LikeUs for violating these Terms.
• Your use of LikeUs complies with all applicable laws of India and your local jurisdiction.

3. Accounts and couples

You sign in with Google. Each individual creates their own profile. A “couple” on LikeUs is two individual profiles linked through a single-use invite. Each profile may be linked to only one active couple at a time. Linking with a new partner requires the existing couple to be dissolved first.

You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for any activity under your LikeUs account. Notify us immediately at founder.likeus@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to seek romantic, sexual, transactional, or commercial connections.
• Misrepresent your identity, age, relationship status, or any other profile information; or impersonate any person or couple.
• Upload photos that are not of you, or that contain nudity, violence, hate, or anything illegal or offensive.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or send unsolicited communications to any user.
• Solicit money, services, donations, or business from other users.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute profile data; reverse-engineer the Service; or attempt to bypass security or rate-limiting controls.
• Use the Service in any way that violates Indian law or the law of any other jurisdiction that applies to you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the information and photos you upload (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant LikeUs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and transmit it solely for the purpose of operating the Service (including showing your profile to potential matches and sending introductions).

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights or violate any law.

6. Introductions and offline interactions

LikeUs facilitates introductions between couples. Any meeting or communication that follows happens between you and the other couple directly. You are responsible for your own safety, judgement, and decisions when interacting with anyone you meet through the Service. We do not perform background checks on users.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Termination

You may stop using LikeUs at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing founder.likeus@gmail.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, if your behaviour endangers other users, if your account is inactive for an extended period, or if we are required to do so by law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing-law clauses) shall survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any defects will be corrected, or that any particular match or introduction will result in a friendship.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LikeUs and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including any interactions with other users.

In no event shall the aggregate liability of LikeUs to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service exceed INR 100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LikeUs and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via the Service. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Subject to applicable consumer-protection rights, you agree that the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
